Recent conditions include big puddles, muddy trails, soft snow at the top, and some rocky areas. Despite recent windstorms, the trail is well-maintained. Starting from the town of Index, we'll take the Heybrook Ridge Trail to a viewpoint about 0.7 miles east of Heybrook Mountain, passing Bridal Falls Viewpoint and Heybrook Lookout along the way. This is an 8 mile hike, with 1,450 feet of elevation gain. If the skies are clear, we'll be rewarded with views of Philadelphia, Index, Baring, Merchant ….
